As scientific evidence shows that gut health affects overall wellbeing, it is critical to take care of our digestive system. Having a weak stomach, what I usually do is eating at home, avoiding fried and spicy food. While I try to maintain a healthy diet, sometimes I’m too busy to cook for myself or I don’t know what food is good for my gut. Thus, I want to try other ways to improve my digestive system also my general health. In this review, I comment on the product from Gut Performance that is aiming for gut health in terms of package, taste and my real feelings after testing it.

I tried 1 Serve Sachet of Original Raspberry Flavour. Its package shows detailed information including nutritional information, ingredients and recommended ways to use. I’d always like to check if the product I use is made with more natural ingredients. Fortunately, Gut Performance only contains natural ingredients and no chemical materials, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. I was glad to see it was made in Australia with 90% local ingredients, which help reduce carbon footprints.
Pouring from the package, Gut Performance Natural Raspberry looked like white powder without any smell. When I followed instructions adding 200ml water (I didn’t really measure it), it became a pleasant colour between pink and red. The taste of it is slightly sweet and I was surprised it really tasted like raspberry. As the texture is like a thick liquid, I found it’s a bit hard to swallow. Maybe it’s because I added the wrong amount of water. Overall, it is smooth but still contains very tiny chalkiness, so it tastes a bit gritty and rough.
After 2 hours, I can feel my gut is moving in a good way. When waiting longer, I felt the gas and just went to the toilet. It immediately made my body feel lighter and more relaxing. For this experience, I rate 3 stars out of 5. I’m still not used to the rough, gritty texture but I can immediately feel a relief from my bowel, which is amazing! If I have another chance, I want to try it longer and see how it would affect my digestive system.
